Another slow sales week for Hip-Hop and R&B, yet again this week Alicia Keys is ahead of the pack in the Top 200 Album Sales landing in at number 3 with her album As I Am and nearing triple platinum status.
Alicia’s As I Am sold 80,172 units this week, bringing It’s total so far to 2,987,631.
Mary J Blige slipped down one spot to #7 with her album Growing Pains which moved 44,592 units this week bringing it’s total to 1,177,054 units sold.
Keyshia Cole comes in at #11 with her album Just Like You moving 35,366 units this week, it’s total now stands at 1,131,109.
Chris Brown’s Exclusive is just behind at #12 selling 1,248,205 units in total and 32,267 copies this week.
Hip-Hop continues struggling to sell with the highest ranking rap artist this week being Soulja Boy at #36 who’s Souljaboytellem.com album has moved another 18,603 units bringing it’s total to 764,571.
Further down Chicago’s Lupe Fiasco lands in at #54 with his album The Cool moving 14,767 copies bringing its total to a mere 316,819.
At #57 Raheem DeVaughn’s Love Behind The Melody moves 14,350, totalling 90,309, Jay-Z’s American Gangster continues to reach out at platinum status landing in at #63 this week with 12,994 bringing Jay’s total sales to 978,362. Label-mate Kanye West comes in just below at 64 with his album Graduation 12,976 this week moving it’s total to an almost double platinum 1,983,188.
