Snoop Dogg is widening his international status as the rapper has recently teamed up with popular Indian rap group RDB (Rhythm, Dhol, Bass) on the hip-hop trio’s latest single.
The track which was also produced by RDB, is set to be the title track for upcoming movie featuring Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, Snoop Dogg is also going to feature in the track’s music video, which will be shot sometime in March.
The Snoop Dogg collaboration isn’t the first time RDB has joined forces with American rap talent.
RDB, which consists of brothers Kuly, Manj, and Surj, have collaborated with American artists in the past having worked with rapper Yukmouth as well as Dancehall artist Elephant.
RDB released a mixtape last year which was titled “Asian ROC”, The mixtape included tracks by rapper Jay-Z remixed Indian-style.
Snoop Dogg also recently discovered he had royal fans in Prince William and Prince Harry.
Snoop acknowledged the support while speaking to the UK’s Metro newspaper about his ban from entering Britain telling them that “the young generation supports me but the old generation doesn’t understand.” adding, “When the old guys pass away, the new guys are going to take over and pass a law that says: ‘Snoop Dogg can never be banned from our country.”
