Rapper/Producer Kanye West has addressed the numerous verbal taunts that 50 Cent has thrown his way in recent months.
In an interview with Bossip, Kanye revealed that the disses from the G-Unit leader had definitely affected him.
“Just as a real human being, I can’t say that it doesn’t affect me,” he admitted.
50 Cent most recently spoke out on Kanye via the track Play This On the Radio [click to listen]. In the song 50 questions Kanye’s sexuality and calls Lil Wayne a Junkie.
“First they say that f*ggot hot/ Then they let that junkie shine /Gave them all those f*cking trophies tell me where the f*ck is mine?” 50 raps.
According to ‘Ye, 50 Cent was once his favourite rapper but the constant stream of insults thrown in his direction has had an effect on his opinion.
“He was my favorite rapper since Mase when he dropped” Kanye revealed. “For me as a fan of him I felt like if he said something negative…and tried to make it like I’m negative….it’s almost like if a little kid walks up to you at the airport and is like, ‘Man, I love you so much,” and then you spit on him [and] it’s like (in a joking voice) “I don’t know if I love you as much as I used to,” as you wipe the spit off your face, but you still play their music.”
Kanye then made a point of saying that he wasn’t looking for beef with 50 Cent or in fact anybody else.
“When I used to be around him, he was one of the few people that I was like really fan of.” he said. “I’m not here to beef with anybody. I’m trying to bring people together. I realize that my success and my mouth and everything rub people the wrong way every now and then, but I’m not finna have beef with anybody. ”
In related news, Kanye West recently revealed during an MTV interview that he was back to rapping again. ‘Ye asked MTV’s Sway Calloway for the opportunity to appear on The Wake Up Show, explaining “I gotta get my rap battle. You know, I’m rappin’ again!”
