The Game Starts Serving 60 Day Prison Sentence

rapper the gameWestcoast Rapper The Game gave himself up to authorities yesterday (March 2nd) to start serving a 60 day prison sentence.

Representatives for the rapper said The Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, surrendered to authorities last night without incident.

As HipHopDons.com/RapBlueprint.com previously reported February 11th a judge sentenced the Compton, California rapper to 60 days in the Los Angeles County Jail, after he plead no contest to a felony charge of gun possession in a school zone.

In addition to the 60 Day prison sentence, The Game was sentenced to 150 hours of community service and three years probation.

As a result of the plea agreement struck with prosecutors in February, two other felony charges were dropped against The Game, who was accused of having pointed a firearm at another man at the Rita Walters Educational Learning Complex during a game of basketball.

On his release The Game is expected to continue the creation process of his upcoming and reportedly last ever album LAX., The album will include production from mentor Dr. Dre as well as Cool & Dre, Scott Storch and numerous others.

In the meantime The Game is also planning to release a new mixtape titled Am I My Brothers Keeper? which will be shortly followed by the highly anticipated LAX.
