R&B singer D’Angelo’s last major release was the album ‘Voodoo’ back in 2000, but according to BillBoard he is currently recording songs in the studio and will be releasing a new album in the near future.
The Grammy Award winning singer will be releasing the new album via J Records, who back in 2005 bought his recording contract from Virgin.
Virgin who released the first two albums by D’Angelo will still be releasing a CD/DVD, titled “The Best So Far…” which will include some of the singers hits, rare tracks and previously unreleased videos.
D’Angelo’s “Voodoo” album moved an impressive 1.69 million units in the U.S. alone, but the singer strayed out of the limelight after he was involved in a serious road accident and became addicted to drugs.
D’Angelo is probably most famous for the music video to his hit track “Untitled (How Does It Feel),” in which the singer was completely naked.
The singer has also guest featured on albums by Snoop Dogg, J Dilla and Common.

Yes, some of us do care to hear about him. Stars are human also even though they tend to do things to make asses out of themselves… can’t take away from the fact that he was a truly talented music writer, producer, as well as performer. Life knocks us all on our ass every now and then. I am looking forward to seeing him back doing something that entertained me, and seemed to make him float on a cloud. Not to mention… it aint never a bad thing to have one more chocolate, attractive brother to look at!!! LOL
