Lil Wayne’s upcoming album “Rebirth” has been delayed numerous times over the last 12 months, but rumors that it has been pushed back yet again have been dismissed by Universal.

This week, a number of Hip-Hop sites began reporting that the rappers rock-themed album had been pushed back to June 2010. Universal Motown has now denied the reports and confirmed that the album is still scheduled for release in February.

Lil’ Wayne is currently expected to be sentenced to a year in jail for gun charges.

Last month some Lil Wayne fans got an unexpected surprise when Amazon.com prematurely shipped around 500 copies of the album. The album was quickly uploaded to the internet in its entirety and illegally downloaded in its masses.

It is believed that the final version of the album will differ from the version that was prematurely released.
