Looks like New York rapper DMX’s long list of legal problems just got longer.
According to the Associate Press the rapper was arrested Yesterday (June 23rd) at approximately 1:30 p.m. by Miami Dade County Police.
Cops had an arrest warrant for DMX, born Earl Simmons in relation to him not owning a valid driver’s license. Police reportedly took the rapper to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Institute.
A spokeswoman has said that X was still locked up at about 5:30 p.m. and that his bond was set at $500.
This arrest is just the most recent in a long string of legal problems for the rapper who last month plead not guilty in Arizona to charges of drug possession and animal cruelty.
DMX picked up the charges following a raid of his Simmons’ Cave Creek home which was part of an investigation into the rappers alleged cruelty towards animals.
Arizona cops are also investigating claims that the admitted himself to a hospital in Scottsdale with a false name in an attempt to avoid paying the bill.
As of press time neither anyone from DMX’s camp or his N.Y. attorney has commented on the most recent arrest.
