Having already made plans to release their third studio album this year via Columbia Records, Pusha T and Malice A.K.A. The Clipse, have announced a new deal with independent record label Koch for the release of The Re-Up Gang’s debut album, The Clipse Presents: The Re-Up Gang.
In addition the The Clipse, The Re-Up gang also comprises of the two rappers Ab-Liva and Sandman.
Through the mixtape series, “We Got It 4 Cheap,” The Re-Up gang have generated a generous amount of buzz within the Hip-Hop industry but have yet to release an official album.
“We put out the ‘We Got it 4 Cheap’ series on our own for the streets and that helped keep us visible and build the Re-Up name as an entity.” Pusha-T said.
The Clipse Presents: The Re-Up Gang, will feature nine brand new tracks as well as three previously unreleased remixes to songs from the “We Got It 4 Cheap Volume 3″ mixtape.
“This time, [our manager] Tony Draper got with [General Manager of Koch Record's] Alan Grunblatt to put together an official album with new music and let Koch Records do what they do best.” Pusha T said of the deal. “This release gives us something fresh in the marketplace to reward Re-Up fans while we continue to work on The Clipse album.”
The first single from the Re-Up gang debut is titled “Fast Life” [Click here to listen] and was produced by super Hip-Hop producer Scott Storch.
The Clipse Present the Re-Up Gang is due for release on August 5th, and The Clipse’s next album is planned for release sometime this November.
