Jay-Z has responded to comments that Amy Winehouse made about Kanye West during her performance at this years Glastonbury Festival.

As HipHopsHome.com previously reported, Winehouse praised Jay-Z for headlining the concert and said she was glad that he was there instead of Kanye West, adding that Kanye is a “C*nt” and even suggesting his next album should be titled “C*nts like Kanye.”

“[Amy Winehouse] said something about Kanye late on [in her set] but I didn’t hear it,” Jay-Z told MTV recently. “I don’t agree with it. He’s my brother and the biggest artist on Roc-A-Fella right now.”

Jay didn’t have anything negative to say about Amy Winehouse and said he didn’t know what drove her to make the comments but he expressed that he would like to make peace between the two artists.

“I guess I should hook them up, because [Kanye West's] a great guy, too.” Jay said, “I don’t know what the problem is. I don’t know where that came from.”

Jay-Z also spoke about his own performance at Glastonbury, saying that it was “Amazing” and that it had been an “Historic Night.”

As HipHopsHome.com recently reported, Jay-Z was a controversial choice for the festival which is usually rock based.

But with his performance Jay hit back at his critics, Oasis’ front man Noel Gallagher in particular, with a performance of Oasis’ hit [click to watch] “Wonderwall.”

“I have a sense of humor like a Brit” Jay told MTV. “I thought people would appreciate that…Noel Gallagher was one of the biggest detractors…I figured that was a cool way to start the show.”
