Jay-Z Enters UK Charts Again Following Glastonbury Performance

Just days after Jay-Z performed at Glastonbury Festival 2008 in the UK, two tracks from his 2003 released Black Album are now predicted to reappear in the UK Single Charts.

As HipHopsHome.com previously reported, Jay-Z’s performance was possibly the most controversial ever as he became the first Hip-Hop act to headline the festival which is traditionally rock based.

However despite the huge amount of criticism and disappointment that was surrounding the choice for the rapper to headline the festival, his performance was largely successful and was praised by many including Chris Martin from Coldplay.

As a result Jay-Z’s “99 Problems” is projected to reenter the Top 25 Downloads Chart for Singles in the UK while “Encore” is also expected to come into the Top 40.

Jay-Z performed both of the tracks as part of his set at Glastonbury, his performance of 99 Problems came just after he had sang Oasis’ “Wonderwall” in response to negative comments made towards him by their lead member Noel Gallegher.
