ATL rapper Ludacris has inked a new deal worth several million dollars with the U.S. phone giant AT&T.
As part of the deal he will appear in both online and T.V. advertising for the company, making him the first Hip-Hop artist to ever sign such a large contract with the phone giant.
The multi-platinum selling rapper/actor has just finished filming his first commercial for the company which is planned to be aired on TV in August.
In the commercial Ludacris plays a man who hasn’t signed up for the AT&T phone service and misses an extremely important call.
“I had a lot a fun shooting this commercial,” Ludacris said. “If you like the AT&T commercials you’ve seen then you’ll love this one.”
Ludacris is also cast as a “phone” in the commercial and will explain what the man would have had if he had been signed up with the service.
Ludacris is also currently working on his upcoming sixth solo effort “Theater Of Mind” which he says will be a concept album. “Theater Of Mind” is expected to hit shelves in October.
