A Judge has reportedly given 50 Cent permission to have an unrestricted visit with his son early next month (August).
According to reports by TMZ, Prior to a scheduled appearance in court by 50 Cent and his sons mother Shaniqua Tompkins, both parties were forced to take a drugs test.
When tested 50 Cent was found to be clean, however, Shaniqua Tompkins tested positive for cough medicine.
The judge subsequently granted a visit between 50 Cent and his son on August 3rd-12th, a result which 50 Cent says he went to court for.
“I haven’t seen him (Marquis) in a while,” 50 Cent explained outside the courthouse. “That’s why I came here today for.”
When Shaniqua was asked if she trusted the rapper, born Curtis Jackson, she responded with “No, not at all. Not in any way.” adding “Mr. Jackson has always talked [negatively] about me.”
As HipHopsHome.com previously reported, this week also saw attempts by Shaniqua to have 50 Cent’s lawyer, Brett Kimmel removed from the case, she stated that there was a conflict of interest.
The judge ruled that despite claims from Shaniqua that she had seeked legal advice from Kimmel in the past he would be allowed to remain a part of the case.
50 Cent and Shaniqua are now scheduled to return to court on September 14th.
