Charts: Lil Wayne Still Ahead, Lloyd, Re-Up Gang & Nappy Roots Debut

Hip-Hop and R&B sales have been a little slower than usual this week, with Lil Wayne’s “The Carter III” still leading the pack with sales of just 67,138 putting it at #5 on the Billboard 200 charts. Weezy’s total now stands at an impressive 2,143,098 million copies sold thus far.

Next up is singer Lloyd who comes in at #7 with his “Lessons in Love” moving 51,049 copies in it’s first week on the charts thanks to the success of the Lil Wayne featured first single “Girls Around the World.”

At number 9 is Rihanna with the re-release of her “Good Girl Gone Bad” album which climbed the charts from #12 back up to #9 this week with sales of 43,865, bringing it’s total sales to 1,594,437 so far.

Down seven places to number 17 is rapper Nas with his controversial new album “Untitled” which sold 24,970 copies this week adding to it’s new total sales of 316,350.

#31 is home to Usher’s “Here I Stand” which moved another 15,538 units this week and now has total sales of just under a million with 964,062.

Further down the charts at no. 38 is Plies with his “Definition of Real” moving 13,290 copies meaning his total is now at 446,882.

The “Greatest Story Ever Told” from David Banner sold 13,249 copies this week bringing it’s total sales figure to 101,632.

Memphis duo Three Six Mafia sold 12,420copies of “Last 2 Walk” this week adding to the albums total thus far of 196,954.

Debuting on the charts this week at number 55 is the debut album from The Clipse’s Re-Up Gang simply titled “Re-Up Gang” which sold just 9,774 copies.

Also in it’s first week on the charts is Nappy Roots’ “Humdinger” which moved 7,708 copies this week.
