Its been nearly three months since 50 Cent’s Dix Hills, Long Island mansion was destroyed in a “Suspicious” fire, and the rapper has finally found the time to meet with Suffolk County authorities to discuss the blaze.
The meet follows public criticism from the fire officials involved who claimed that 50 Cent was delaying their investigation by failing to schedule a meeting and hiding behind his lawyers to avoid cooperation with the appropriate authorities.
According to a report by TMZ, 50 Cent and his attorneys attended a meet Yesterday (August 21st) a claim which reps for the rapper confirmed.
“50 and his attorneys met yesterday with Suffolk County authorities regarding the fire that destroyed 50’s house,” a rep for the G-Unit general said via statement. “The meeting had been arranged weeks ago. 50 is eager to review the findings of the investigation, when it is concluded.”
At the time of the blaze the house was at the very center of an ongoing legal dispute between Fiddy and Shaniqua Tompkins who is the mother of their 11-year old son, Marquise.
When the fire occurred in the early hours of May 31st both Shaniqua and Marquise were asleep in the building.
Shaniqua went on to accuse 50 Cent of burning down the house himself to avoid letting her live there. 50 Cent strongly denied the allegations and hit back with a defamation lawsuit.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing, however has been dubbed “Suspicious” by fire officials.
A 5 gallon gas container was also found on the grounds of the house.
