B-Real Announces New Solo Album Deal With Duck Down Records

Rumors that B-Reals upcoming debut solo album would be released via his own record label Audio Hustlaz have been circulating the net for some time now.

However the Cypress Hill frontman has now announced that he plans to release the album, titled Smoke N Mirrors, this January via the N.Y. based Duck Down Records.

Other Hip-Hop acts to announce partnerships with Duck Down recently include KRS-One and Buckshot, who plan to release a group album in 2009 and the re-united duo Heltah Skeltah, who plan to release their long awaited third album D.I.R.T. (Da Incredible Rap Team) this September.

Smoke N Mirrors will include guest spots from Snoop Dogg, Sean Price, Damian Marley, Buckshot and Cypress Hills Sen Dogg as well as production from B-Real himself, DJ Quik, Scoop Deville and Fredwreck.

“Adding another living legend in B-Real to our roster is really giving Duck Down a ‘dream team’ line up for independent Hip Hop.” said Dru Ha, co-owner of Duck Down Records. “When you add the upcoming Random Axe Project (Sean Price, Guilty Simpson and Black Milk collaboration set for a 2009 release) we’re excited about our ability to continue contributing quality Hip Hop albums to the game.”

Currently B-Real is on the Rock The Bells Tour alongside artists such as Nas, Method Man, A Tribe Called Quest, Ghostface, Kidz In The Hall and Immortal Technique.

B-Real’s Smoke N Mirrors is currently set for release on January 27th next year.
