The Game Charged With Battery Over Dispute At Family Funeral

The Game has reportedly been hit with charges of battery stemming from an incident earlier this year in which the westcoast rapper assaulted his cousin at a family funeral.

As HipHopsHome.com previously reported, A man named Robert “Kirky” Kirkwood, who claimed he was The Game’s cousin, filed a police report last month (July) alleging that the rapper had punched him in the face during a dispute at his sisters funeral.

According to Kirkwood the dispute started because The Game had promised to put up half the money for his sisters funeral bill but had deliberately made himself unreachable when the time came to pay.

Kirkwood said that The Game’s appearance at the funeral had been unscheduled and that upon questioning him outside the church, after the service, The Game punched him in the face.

According to reports by TMZ, If The Game is convicted on the battery charge he could be sent back to jail because he is at present still on probation for a firearms offence.

The Game’s third solo album “L.A.X.” is in stores now and includes guest appearances from Nas, Ice Cube, Lil Wayne and more.
