Hip-Hop producer/mogul Dr. Dre buried his twenty-year-old son Andre Young, Jr. in California on Friday (August 29th).

According to TMZ.com, the funeral was held in Glendale, California at the Church of the Recessional and was attended by over 200 people who wanted to pay their respects.

Andre Young, Jr. was found dead by his mother last Saturday (August 23rd), and emergency services were called at approximately 10 a.m that morning. Paramedics were unable to revive him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death could not be determined by an autopsy which was conducted last week. Further tests are now scheduled to take place in an effort to explain what caused the death of the 20-year-old.

“We don’t know yet why he died,” the L.A County Department of Coroner said to People magazine. “There were no signs of trauma or foul play…we’ll be doing toxicology and other tests, which will take up to six weeks.”

According to Capt. Winter the tests are “mainly to determine whether alcohol or drugs played a part in a person’s death.”

The night before his death, Andre Young, Jr had been on a night out with friends and his mother says that around 5:30 am she heard him snoring in his sleep.

“Dr. Dre is mourning the loss of his son,” said Lori Earl, Dr. Dre’s publicist via a statement. “Please respect his family’s grief and privacy at this time.”
