October is looking to be a very busy month indeed for rapper Ludacris with movies and a higly anticipated solo album set to be released.

First up will be the release of the movie Max Payne, Luda plays a cop in the film which is inspired by the video game of the same name. Max Payne also stars Mark Wahlberg and is scheduled for an October 17th release.

“This is the first time I’ve played any kind of police role,” Ludacris said to Reuters of the flick. “It’s funny – in most movies, Mark [Wahlberg] plays the dominant role but my character is the dominant one over Mark. That was a power thing and I absolutely loved it.”

Next up for the rapper will be the release of his highly anticipated sixth solo album, titled Theater of the Mind. The album is set for release on October 21st and includes guest appearances from The Game, Chris Brown and T.I. among others.

“Theater of the Mind is all of my albums put together,” says Ludacris. “There’s the funny Ludacris, the serious Ludacris and the story-telling Ludacris as well as the movie-making Ludacris”.

Then on the 31st of October the Ludacris starring RocknRolla movie is set for release, the flick also stars Guy Ritchie and is said to have the same “vibe” as the popular Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.

“I have a new album and two movies coming out within two weeks of each other, so Mr. October is my new nickname,” said Ludacris jokingly.
