According to various reports Kanye West is planning to release his next solo album before the end of the year.

Speculation about the release date of ‘Ye’s upcoming album was started when a number of sources claimed that the rappers next single would be entitled “Love LockDown” and would be available to buy on iTunes from Monday (August 8th).

No official confirmation has yet to come from anyone within Kanye West’s camp however it now appears that Kanye will make the official announcement to fans himself.

Kanye West is rumored to be making the announcement during his upcoming performance at the MTV Video Awards on Sunday night.

According to XXL, West will bring an end to the event with an “explosive finale” performance and will give the “official word” on his new album.

Atlanta rapper T.I. will also be performing at the VMA’s this year where he will debut his new single with R&B singer Rihanna.

Kanye’s new album will be the follow up to his previous effort entitled “Graduation,” the album beat 50 Cent’s “Curtis” album in a first week sales battle and has thus far sold around 2.2 million copies.

The VMAs will air live on MTV on Sunday 7th September from Los Angeles.
