Rapper DMX Held In A Phoenix Jail On $25,000 Cash Bond

DMX is reportedly being held in custody in a Phoenix, Arizona jail on charges of using a stolen identity.

According to numerous reports, the multi-platinum selling rapper was extradited from a jail in Miami, Florida to a Phoenix, Arizona jail Yesterday (Sept. 11th).

The Associated Press reports that Maricopa County Sheriffs are currently holding DMX, real name Earl Simmons, in custody on a cash bond of $25,000 dollars.

The charges of identity theft stem from an incident earlier this year in which X allegedly used a stolen id to avoid having to pay out for a medical bill at an Arizona clinic.

As HipHopsHome.com previously reported, X was arrested in Miami on the 14th of August on a warrant which was issued after he failed to appear at a scheduled court appearance for drugs related charges.

DMX made attempts to secure bail from the Miami jail but it was revoked by the judge who had issued the warrant for his arrest.

After pleading guilty on the Drugs charges in Miami as part of a plea deal, he was sentenced only to time already served.

Cops in Phoenix then had 15 days in which to arrest the rapper or he would be granted permission to leave the Miami jail so he was extradited to Phoenix yesterday.

The rapper also currently faces seven counts of animal cruelty charges in Phoenix.
