Rap artist Havoc, one half of the Queensbridge Hip-Hop duo Mobb Deep, is planning to release his upcoming solo album The Hidden Files independently next year via Koch Records.
The new album, which will be Havoc’s debut release through Koch, is the follow up to his 2007 debut solo release entitled The Kush, which was released via Nature Sounds Records.
Representatives for the label have revealed that the album will include production from Havoc himself as well as frequent Mobb Deep collaborator The Alchemist. Mobb Deep’s other member, the currently incarcerated Prodigy, will also be making at least one guest appearance on the disc.
Other artists tapped to contribute vocals to the 13-track long disc include Rell and The Lox member Styles P.
The Hidden Files is tentatively set for release next month on January 27th. The first single from the CD is titled “Street’s Ain’t Going Nowhere.”
