Joe Budden is gearing up to release his highly-awaited and long-delayed sophomore album The Padded Room early next year.
The release will be the follow up to the rappers 2003 self-titled debut album which went Gold thanks to the success of the hit single Pump It Up.
Since his debut the rapper has parted from his former recording home Def Jam Records and will be releasing this new project via Amalgam Digital.
In partnership with Amalgam, Budden previously released a 14-track long digital only album titled Halfway House which was downloaded about 3,000 times in it’s first week and featured guest appearances from Joel Ortiz, Royce Da 5′9″ and Crooked I.
For his new 13-track album Joe Budden has collaborated with his former rap rival The Game on a track titled The Future.
The Padded Room is scheduled for release on February 24th 2009 and will be available to download from www.AmalgamDigital.com with extra bonus tracks.
