Kanye West Performs Tribute To Late Mother At Grammy’s

kanye westDressed in all black with contrasting bright shades and bright white stripes on his coat, rapper Kanye West poured his heart into a rousing performance of “Stronger” which he performed as a tribute to his late mother Dr. Donda West who died last year from complications stemming from plastic surgery.

Kanye, who also took home the Rap Album Of The Year award, closed out his performance with a special rendition of his song “Hey Mama”, a video of an angel played in the background.

“A lot of people said Hip-Hop was dead…I appreciate all the support and prayers. [Mama] I know you are proud of me. All I’m gonna do is keep making you proud.”

In addition to the aforementioned Album Of The Year award Kanye who was nominated for a total of eight awards also took home Best Rap Solo Performance for his track “Stronger,” Best Rap Song for his track “Good Life” which features T-Pain and Best Rap Performance by a duo or group for his collaboration with rapper Common on the track “Southside.”

In related news HipHopDons.com/RapBlueprint.com also recently reported rapper Nas caused more controversy for hos album with his choice of apparel at this years Grammy’s when he sported a black t-shirt with the word “N****r” printed boldy on the front.
