Eminem Says His Next Album Will Definitely Be More Upbeat

Eminem has become known for his angry, aggressive lyrical content and his self-loathing, hate filled tracks. It seems that things may change though.

In a recent interview with the magazine Esquire, a laid back Marshall Mathers revealed some more details about his upcoming solo album Relapse and his new relaxed mind state.

“Within the last year, I started learning how [not to] be so angry about things, learning how to count my fucking blessings instead,” Eminem told Esquire. “By doing that, I’ve become a happier person, instead of all this self-loathing [that] I was doing for a while.”

Many fans were critical of the rappers last effort, Encore, and noted that Eminem appeared to have lost what made his previous albums so special. According to Em though, he is back to being himself again.

“The music, I wouldn’t say it’s gotten happier, but it’s definitely more upbeat. I feel like myself again.” He stated, before adding “Don’t get me wrong, the aggression will still be there.”

Relapse is scheduled to hit stores early next year and will feature production from Dr. Dre and guest vocals from 50 Cent.
