I love the timing of these mixtapes. To be honest I can’t remember the last time I listened to DMX but these two projects renew the appreciation for his honest and real bars. The passion and energy MCs lack today is what X brought to the game. A real mixtape with some sort of mix to it and most of all timing. I mean if you’re not really mixing at least have some timing between tracks and Books got timing.
There’s no need to break down a track list. It’s DMXs classics, some freestyles and even some blends. Exactly what a best of mixtape should be. And for those of you not up on DJ Books and the thieves theme Google the man. Best of’s are his forte get your download on tho and be happy a DJ out there is still trying to be an actual DJ when it comes to making a mixtape.
